Hopfest! 2006

                   Darin cuts bines down from the guide wires.                        Hop heads harvesting some first year bines.

                     That lupulin is kind of sticky.                                              Picking small flowers off of small bines.

                  Picking big flowers off of big bines!                                               It's thirsty work.          

                                                                     But the rewards are great!

                 The picking is done and we're off to the brewery.                        Glenn has the batch started and the flowers go in.

                Ready to steep the flowers in wart (unfermented beer).               Kim and Maryann with some mead extraordinaire'.

                                                                   This day may have qualified as a beer festival.

We will roll out the first barrel of Darin's Dream Pale Ale on Saturday the 23rd.  I will have a free growler of this beer for everyone who helped pick the hops.
